It's a Pizza Takeover on Wednesdays in November at the Bull - so here's a little bit more about Venti Pizza

Venti Wood Fired Pizza is owned and run by local lad, George Hart with his brother James as his right hand man. The pair live and work on the Titsey Estate in Limpsfield, so are locals through and through!

After working in Hospitality for a number of years in varied roles, George went to work for a friend’s event catering company for a couple of summer seasons.

“It was an amazing experience, travelling around the country, working at different places and meeting lots of different people,” says George. “I picked up a lot of ideas and inspiration.”

“I have always been a keen baker and that developed into making pizza and recreating the well-known Neapolitan style pizzas. That’s when the idea for Venti came along. I wanted to create a pizza trailer that was different and found one through a company that converted old horseboxes in Wales near the Brecon Beacons. Due to the pandemic there was about a year of delays, but it was worth the wait.”

George set up Venti in 2020 (hence the name, “venti” meaning twenty in Italian) after coming back from travelling Australia. Due to the pandemic delays, the horse box wasn’t ready for another year but they got there in the end and their now familiar truck, complete with a wood fire oven was finally on the road!

What’s the plan for Venti?

“Our aim is to build up a solid event catering side to the business and then eventually open a small pizzeria providing our wood-fired pizzas, craft beers and fine wines,” says George. “For now, we’re very happy being mobile and it’s lovely to be able to provide our delicious pizza to our local pubs, especially at The Bull, being a beautiful, community-owned pub!

Venti Pizza will be with us for lunch and dinner on Wednesdays November 9, 16 (Open Mic Night) and 23rd.

Come and sample their delicious hand made pizzas.

Eat in with us or order your takeaway and have a beer while you wait!
